The Christmas Village

Every Christmas I like to make a Christmas movie to get into the spirit of the season, and as a nice souvenir. After my time in Argentina I made, “How the Gaucho Stole Christmas”, and the following year brought, “The Punisher Christmas Special”. I had to break from Christmas filmmaking for a couple of years, and this year I wanted to come back with a vengeance. This year's project, "The Christmas Village" has been several years in the making.

For a long time I had wanted to make a movie about someone getting sucked into a Christmas Village, but it never came together. This year I finally had everything I needed to make it happen. It was a fun project and a big undertaking but I am really proud of what I have been able to do on no budget.

I have worked with green screening several times before, but this was the first large project I have attempted that was green screened. I learned a lot and the screening came out great. Many of my favorite actors came back for this project. Jimmy Hepworth, my favorite town heckler takes a lead role. Tom Arnold is back in the role of a tall and grumpy man. I was also happy to welcome Josh Twitchell and my sister Emily into the production.

I hope to have the video up soon but in the meantime here are a few screenshots to whet your appetite.

Black Hat Media/Brandall Films Demo Reel

Some of the productions I have worked on have been Black Hat Media and some have been Brandall Films. This is a compilation of some of the best of both production labels. This is a great sampling of some of my After Effects work, my directing work, and a few just for fun projects. This also showcases some of the work I have done for my clients. Some of the clients featured include: PerfectNotes Inc., New Play Project, Xpressions!, Zion Theatre Company, Aamco Medical, and White Field Media. I will soon be creating a new demo reel to feature work for New Grains Gluten Free Bakery, The Utah Laser Center, and Cracking the Inner Code. New Play Project: Pioneers in Values Driven Theater

New Play Project is an organization with a big goal: to help the little guy. As an organization they are focused on creating values driven theatre and helping writers and actors hone their talents. I have been impressed with the group's talent and dedication as well as the quality of many of their productions. It was my honor to help make a 3 part DVD highlighting the group's growth and potential. This is one of the three parts, in my opinion it is the strongest portion of the DVD. As the videographer for Black Hat Media it is my goal to make every client look their best, and I was very pleased with the image I was able to help New Play Project create.

POSH: Kira

These are some old POSH pictures I did for Kira a few months ago, before she was engaged, and I just got around to putting them up! Whew! These shoots are only $20, and it comes with two Magazine covers. Once we get her Magazine covers finished, I will get them up!

Maliya, Rachel and Katie

Some of you may remember Maliya and Rachel from and earlier post. They have grown so much in the last year!

This is their new baby sister, Katie. They love her to pieces!

Timpanogas Football

This is the Timpanogas 8-9 year old football team. This was my first football game shoot, so it was very interesting, and I learned a ton! These are just a few of the shots. (P.S.- this team was hilarious!)

You may notice this next picture is from a different game than most of the others. This was the first game I went to, but the conditions were such that I didn't get as many good shots. But, this is one of my favorites from that game.

This shot just happened totally by accident! I haven't had the guts to do any editing on this one for fear of ruining it. It was such a beautiful morning!

Kira and Peter

Kira and Peter got engaged over the summer, and this was our fun little shoot up the canyon.

Emily and Kelly

Emily and Kelly are best friends and wanted to do a "Best Friend Shoot" before they parted ways for their off semester. This was a way fun shoot to do, thanks girls!

And this is a template for Best Friends that Brian put together for them.

Brad and Rachel's Wedding!

Brad and Rachel got married back at the end of July, but I have been so crazy busy, I am just now getting to the blog! We are so excited for them!

Siblings

These are just a few more shots of Tricia and Derek's kids. This editing was a particular request of Tricia's because of the way the room is decorated in which she wants to hang these pictures.
